The Ultimate Golden Beef & Cheddar Pie

 


Ingredients (The 4 Elements)

  • 1 lb Ground beef (L-kfta)

  • 2 cans (8 oz each) Refrigerated crescent roll dough sheets (or flaky biscuits)

  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded

  • 1 packet Taco seasoning OR burger seasoning mix (onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper)

  • Optional add-in: A drizzle of Worcestershire sauce or melted butter on top of the crust before baking.

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until completely cooked through. Drain any excess grease, then stir in your seasoning packet until the meat is fully coated and fragrant.

  2. Lay the Bottom Crust: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8 or 9x13 inch glass baking dish (just like the one in


    . Unroll one can of the crescent dough sheet and press it firmly into the bottom of the pan to form a base.

  3. Layer the Filling: Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly over the bottom dough layer. Top it generously with the shredded cheddar cheese so it melts perfectly into the meat.

  4. Cap the Top: Unroll the second can of crescent dough sheet and place it carefully over the cheese layer, pinching the edges to seal it (you can see the beautiful baked pastry lines on top in                  

                               

  5. Bake: Pop it in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the top crust is beautifully puffed up, flaky, and golden brown. Let it cool for 5 minutes before slicing so the cheese sets nicely.
