Sweet & Smoky Hawaiian-Style Sausage Bites

Ingredients (The 4 Elements)

  • 1 to 2 lbs Smoked Kielbasa (or any smoked sausage/saucisse), cut into thick rounds

  • 1 can (20 oz) Pineapple chunks in 100% juice (being poured right in

  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

  • ¼ cup Brown sugar (or a squeeze of honey)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Meat: Slice your smoked kielbasa into bite-sized rounds (exactly like the beautiful layers you see filling up the pot in

. Throw them straight into the bottom of your slow cooker.

  2. Add the Sweetness: As shown in image_527cbf.jpg, pour the entire can of pineapple chunks—along with the juice from the can—directly over the sausage. The juice is crucial because it blends with the sauce to prevent it from burning.

  3. The Sticky Glaze: Pour the BBQ sauce and sprinkle the brown sugar over everything. Give it a quick stir so every piece of sausage and pineapple is coated.

  4. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours (or HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours). The sauce will reduce, caramelize, and turn into a thick, glossy, mouthwatering glaze.

  5. Serve: Serve it over a bed of warm white rice for an incredibly easy dinner, or stick toothpicks in them to serve as a crowd-pleasing party appetizer.
