Fall-Off-The-Bone Baked BBQ Ribs (Better Than a Smokehouse!)

The Recipe: Fall-Off-The-Bone Crockpot BBQ Ribs

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 lbs Baby back ribs (or pork/beef ribs, cut into portions to fit the pan)

  • 1 bottle (18 oz) Your favorite BBQ Sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s is a US favorite!)

  • ¼ cup Brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar

  • From the pantry: 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp smoked paprika, salt, and heavy black pepper for the dry rub.

Instructions

  1. The Dry Rub: Mix your garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper f-wa7ed l-gassa3a. Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel and rub this spice mix generously all over the meat.

  2. Slow Cook Setup: Stand the ribs up against the walls of your slow cooker with the meatier side facing outward. Pour about half of the BBQ sauce bottle mixed with the 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar over the ribs.

  3. Low and Slow: Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 8 hours (do not rush it on high!). The meat needs this time to become so tender that it practically slips off the bone.

  4. The Caramelized Glaze: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Carefully transfer the tender ribs into a disposable aluminum foil pan, exactly like the ones shown in

  5. Sauce and Broil: Mix the remaining BBQ sauce with the brown sugar and brush it thickly over the tops of the ribs. Pop the tray into the oven for 10 to 15 minutes (or under the broiler for 3-5 minutes) until the sauce is bubbling, sticky, and forms those gorgeous charred edges captured in

    . Serve hot!
